Abu Simbel Tour from Aswan
With Adam Tours
Welcome to an unforgettable journey from Aswan to Abu Simbel with Adam Tours!
Our tour takes you to one of the most impressive ancient Egyptian monuments, the magnificent Abu Simbel Temples, built by Pharaoh Ramses II more than 3,000 years ago.
🚐 Tour Description
Your tour starts early in the morning from Aswan. We will travel by air-conditioned vehicle through the beautiful desert landscape of southern Egypt to Abu Simbel.
Upon arrival, we will visit the two magnificent temples of Abu Simbel, located on the western bank of Lake Nasser.
1. The Great Temple of Ramses II
The Great Temple was built by Pharaoh Ramses II to demonstrate his power and celebrate his greatness. At the entrance, you will see four enormous statues of Ramses II, each approximately 20 meters high.
Inside the temple, you will discover beautiful wall carvings depicting the pharaoh's military victories, religious ceremonies, and offerings to the ancient Egyptian gods.
One of the most remarkable features of the temple is the Sun Festival, when sunlight illuminates the statues inside the sanctuary on specific dates of the year.
2. The Temple of Queen Nefertari
Next, we will visit the beautiful temple dedicated to Queen Nefertari, the beloved wife of Ramses II, and the goddess Hathor.
The temple is famous for its impressive statues of the king and queen. What makes it special is that the statues of Queen Nefertari are almost the same size as those of Ramses II, which was unusual in ancient Egyptian art.
Inside, you will find colorful wall paintings showing the queen making offerings to the gods.
📸 End of the Tour
After visiting both temples, you will have time to take photos and enjoy the magnificent views of Lake Nasser.
Finally, we will drive back to Aswan, bringing our unforgettable journey to an end.
